Chicken Bone Broth
Ingredients:
Bones from roasted chicken
2 onions, peeled and quartered
2 carrots
2 celery stalks, leaves on
6 cloves garlic, peeled
2-3 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp tumeric powder (optional)
1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar
6 cups water
Directions:
Place all ingredients in base of a crockpot (you can also use a large dutch oven.) Cover with water. If using a crockpot, cook on low for 6-8 hrs. If using a stovetop, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 2-3 hrs. Allow mixture to cool completely and the strain in a large boil. Store in mason jars for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
